Pictures of the Storm

On June 5, 2003 it was a blisteringly hot day. The temperature outside was about 85F. Then, suddenly, about 4pm the skies clouded up and all heck broke loose. Torrents of rain and hail came flooding down from the sky. I didn't think to take pictures during the storm, but here are some pictures after. The flooding shown here occurred in less than an hour. Now, at 6:00pm, the streets are almost dry, and the Hof (courtyard) has been pumped out by the Hausmeister, and is passable.

Here are a couple of pictures of our Hof (courtyard) which flooded. The white bits are floating hail. Sorry the first one isn't focused well, I was trying to take the pictures quickly.




Finally, here is a picture of the garden below our window. Again, the white is hail, and you can see that it's flooded.
